La Flor De Puebla Bakery
About This Spot
Stepping into La Flor De Puebla Bakery, you immediately sense a warm and welcoming neighborhood treasure where time slows just enough to savor the simple pleasure of fresh, lovingly crafted baked goods. Tucked away on Kenilworth Avenue, this unpretentious spot hums with quiet energy—the steady rhythm of friendly chatter, the faint rustle of paper bags, and the comforting aroma of rich coffee and sweet pastries mingling in the air.
Here, the pace is relaxed but purposeful. People come for their daily treats, whether it’s a morning ritual or a midday pause, drawn by the inviting display of delicate cakes, sugary doughnuts, and golden churros that promise a momentary escape. The staff’s genuine warmth makes every visit feel less like a transaction and more like a familiar exchange between neighbors who share pride in these authentic flavors.
The bakery’s offerings feel rooted in tradition yet fully present in this diverse community. Whether it’s the soft, moist tres leches cake that invites a slow indulgence or the savory quesadilla de arroz that hints at comforting, unexpected twists, each item carries a quiet story of heritage and care. The sandwiches, toasted just right in a panini press, add a satisfying balance—hearty and honest without fuss.
What stands out most is how approachable it all feels: high quality without high prices, where a small box can bring home a variety of pastries that are as delightful as they are affordable. It’s the kind of place where locals find special moments tucked into everyday routines—birthdays marked with a rosca de reyes, or a quick stop for pan de muerto that transports you back to family gatherings across borders.
La Flor De Puebla Bakery offers more than just baked goods; it’s a quiet celebration of culture and community layered into each bite and each genuine smile.

Great cemitas and they sell pan de muerto which is very good, almost like in Mexico

Blown away by the quality of the pastries at this bakery. I was looking to make a quick stop before going to my in laws, so I went there and bought pastries, I was expecting a high bill and boom for 8 pastries I paid about $9 ! Let me tell you how shocked I was! I thought it was a prank or a joke. Its super affordable , staff was nice and helpful. The only downside is that a box is $3 which is a lot . But i truly enjoyed the pastries with my family. Seems like one can order birthday cakes there too. They accept payment by phones too . Parking is great since it’s in a shopping center. My favorite pastries was a kind of big donut sandwich with custard in the middle.

I like this place. I go there for fresh pastries. I also love their sandwiches. I'm not sure what they are called but I always get the ham ones. And they warm them in a panini press right before they give them to you. Delicious! The prices are good too.
